about professional mike

Started off like many others working minimum wage jobs like Taco Bell and manual labor like cutting grass, shoveling snow in the winter but I had knack for building things and for one reason or another I liked metal and machines so I entered a skilled trades program and graduated from Southeastern Vo-Tech in the welding program. After graduation moving on to work for small fabrication & millwright companies, millwright work gave the exposure to big machines but soon found the devil was in the detail and by using my collected array of skills in the trades to become a maintenance person working in power generation, food processing & manufacturing, pharmaceutical and automated manufacturing.

These days I can be found doing R&M on hospital equipment like operating tables, hospital beds, stretchers and other equipment in and around the medical industry.

Some of the Biomedical work I do these days are:

Some of last years projects included

  • Removal of two Linear Accelarator one was assembled in a vault with 12" reinforced wall.
  • Started a new customer on preventative maintenance for the support table for inside the OR
  • Started maintenance on a new fleet of surgical tables for one of the local hospitals.
