Winter 2025 Cycling Maintenance 

Maintenance is always critical but in colder temperatures it is more important as bicycles like to break when its cold out.

Here are some of the precaution I make before hitting the road in the winter.

The first thing is to have a chain lubrication that will hold up in below freezing temperatures; I also don't want the chain to become stiffer then necessary.

I like using Muc-off drylube it seems to handle cold weather well and is easy to apply.

For the cold weather they have -50°C Chain Lube designed to work in sub-zero weather.
